New Year!

Hi everyone!
We have had a very busy start to P6 and have not had time yet to write on our blog!! We now have 22 children in our class and two teachers - but not both at the same time!!!

We are busy this week with our Enterprise project - we are organising sideshows at our Open Day. The P7s are doing a play about World War 2 so our Open day has a 1940's theme.

We are also going to a Science and Technology Day up at Merchiston Castle school on Wednesday and next week we are going to the Botanics to find out about the Rainforest.

We will write on the Blog to let you know about these events.

Thanks for your comment Lucy - hope you are enjoying your new school.

Watch this space for more about P6!

Hello this is Cameron and Murron writing a blog about Sports Day. We did the golf ball and spoon race. And we did a dress up race where you have to run and pick up a piece of clothing and carry on doing that until you reach the finish line. And we did the biggest race of all THE MARATHON 2008. Then we got our Mum's or Dad's to pick us up.

Dynamic Earth

On Tuesday 27th of May we went to Dynamic Earth.I liked the time machine and Demi liked the giant iceburg. We got to go on a space ride. We had to sit on a weird seat and we had to vote with the blue or red buttons Demi chose red first and I chose blue first.

Rachel liked when the lions fur went up on the lightning machine.
Demi liked to sit on the space chairs which were so cool.

yours sincerely

cricket

Hannah,Blair and Lucy go to cricket club after school at 3:15 - 4:15. It costs £1 per lesson. We got a bottle and if we bring it every week we earn heartbeats (points) which then turn into prizes. Our first prize was the bottle and we don't know what we'll get next. Our whole class had six weeks of cricket then when it stopped every one got a letter to see if we wanted to go to the club. Our teaching coaches were Leah and Gorden. For the cricket club it is Leah and Simon. Simon plays for the Scotland cricket team. We found it really really fun!!!!

Endangered Species

Our project is about endangered species. We've done posters and drawings of some animals like tigers, dolphins, polar bears, sharks, eagles and cheetah and many more. We went to the computar suite and done some research on animals. We've enjoyed are project so far it is really nice to learn about endangered animals. At the start of our projerct we made posters of what we know about endangered species. What is your project about? We got a sheet that asksthe question why?, what?, pollution and laws and we had to fill it out. We now know what animals are endangered and what animals aren't endangered. In our projecet jotter we listed what animals are endangered. In our project jotter we made a front cover and we got to choose what animal we wanted to put on it. We wrote about why the animals become endangered.
