Violin

In school we play the violin. I've got a violin teacher called Dr.Fraser. He is very nice when he teaches violin. My friend Rachel and Blair might be starting an orcastra with other schools like Bonaly,Longstone and Oxgangs. Me and some other girls hope we can go next year.

Running Club.

Hi I'm Blair and this is my friend Hollie

Every Thursday Hollie and I and some other people go to running club, it is really fun. There's loads of exercises. The teacher is called Mrs Jeffery who teaches p7. Running club is very tiring.We have to run lots of laps around the field(beside Tescos a shop.) Once we ran arond the field 10 times!!!

Personal Project. You have to gather information for a personal project about an Egyptian Pharoah - either Tutankhamum, Ramses 11 or Hatshepsut. You have three weeks to complete your project so find out as much as you can.

Our School

Colinton Primary School is the best school EVER!!!!

Our headteachers name is called Mrs Lumsden,shes the best headteacher.
Our school uniform colour is blue and white so is our school.

Me and Rachel(the pictures to the left) are in p5 our teachers name is Mrs Anderson.
Our class as 19 people in our class I will tell you some of their names,Blair Hannah,Kevin,Stephen,Kirsty.

We've got a tuck shop in our school. It sells lots of heathly foods

On Fridays the whole school goes to assembly to sing songs and also in our class on Fridays we have golden time when we can do what ever we want.

Just a reminder that next week is a holiday - you don't need to come back to school until Tuesday 23rd October.

On Wednesday 24th October we are going to the Egyptian Gallery at the Museum to look at all the Egyptian things they have there. You will need a packed lunch that day to take with you.

The Halloween Disco is on Thursday 25th October - bring your ticket money after the holiday - £1 - it should be great fun - you can dress up if you want to!

BONJOUR JE M'APPELLE SUJINA DISUWA.

TODAY I WAS DOING BAKING WITH MRS DOUST. WE WERE MAKING EGYPTIAN BREAD. I WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE IT. FIRST WE NEED DOUGH AND GARLIC. PUT IN A OVEN AND PUT IT UNTIL 15 MINUTES LOOK AND AT LAST IT WILL BE COOKED. YOU MAY EAT.

Ancient Egyptians

In school we have been learning adout the ancient egyptians.Right now we are learning about what fashoin they wear . We are also learning what jobs they did. e.g. mummy maker, farmers
craftsmen,servants,slaves,brick maker,builders,traders,priests.
We are also going to a ancient egypt musem. we are also looking at afterlife.

The weekend at last!
Just a few reminders for next week!
1. Have a great time doing your Mission Possible Tasks - but don't forget to return all your agent's equipment on Monday - along with any interesting samples you may have found!
2. Remember you gym shoes on Monday for our games in the hall.

Mission Possible!

Hi

We have been doing a Mission. We had to train for one week to be bacteria spies we all had a booklet and we had to do ten tasks. We got our kits home yesterday there was a pen, swab, magnet, spoon, a thermometer, food thermometer and two sample bags. We will do our tasks over the weekend and tell you what we found on Monday.

Just in case you have lost your homework sheet here is this week's homework!

1. Spelling - write your words and complete the activity sheet
2. Maths - you have a fractions worksheet to complete - this is practise of work covered in class this week.
3. Reading - check your reading record for the pages you have to read.

Remember your gym kit on Wednesday - we will be playing Mini Tennis with Neil and Pamela.

Don't forget next Monday is HOLIDAY!! Homework should be returned on Tuesday 18th September.
